This Privacy Policy explains how ShielderVPN (the “App”) handles information when you use our products and services. ShielderVPN is provided by APPZLAB LIMITED ("we", "our", or "us"). If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not install or use the App.

About VPN Data & No‑Activity‑Logs
To operate a VPN, our systems must transiently process network data. For session management, abuse prevention, and capacity planning, we may process limited technical metadata (e.g., connection start/stop times, amount of data transferred, the VPN server region, and a shortened or hashed technical identifier). Where such data is processed, it is retained only for a limited period and is not used to profile you or track browsing activity.
Data We Process
1) Information you provide
- Support communications: If you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message.
- In‑app inputs: Preferences (e.g., protocol, auto‑connect, language).
2) Automatically processed
- Device & app info: device model, OS version, app version, settings, language, time zone.
- Diagnostics: crash logs and performance metrics via third‑party SDKs, used to fix issues and improve stability.
- Connection metadata (VPN): ephemeral technical data as described above to establish and maintain the VPN tunnel (e.g., session timing, transferred bytes, server region). We do not retain traffic content or browsing history.
3) Payment & subscription metadata
Transactions are processed by Apple via in‑app purchase. We receive non‑sensitive purchase metadata (e.g., product, price tier, region, subscription status) to deliver your entitlements. We do not receive or store full payment card details.
How We Use Data
- Provide core VPN functionality and requested features (e.g., auto‑connect, kill switch where available).
- Monitor performance, detect outages, and improve service quality.
- Respond to support requests and communicate about the App.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Payments & Subscriptions
Purchases are handled by Apple’s App Store using your Apple ID. We receive non‑sensitive purchase metadata necessary to grant access to paid features. For billing issues or refunds, please refer to Apple Support and applicable App Store policies.
Legal Bases (EEA/UK)
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we process personal data under one or more of:
- Performance of a contract (to provide the VPN service).
- Legitimate interests (to secure and improve the App, prevent abuse).
- Consent (where required by law, e.g., certain diagnostics or marketing).
- Legal obligation (to comply with applicable laws).
Your Rights
Depending on your location and subject to exceptions, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CPRA.

Retention & Security
We retain personal data only as long as needed to provide the App, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. VPN connection metadata (if processed) is kept for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to safeguard information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
International Transfers
If personal data is transferred across borders, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) to protect it in line with this Policy.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. In the EEA/UK, additional consent rules may apply to users under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the App or on our website.
